- Wednesday, December 23, 2009Before attacking Rep. Ron Kind with his shotgun-like letter loaded with all powder and no lead, Chris Muller should stop drinking the tea and ask himself how believable and how successful Dan Kapanke would be if he promised to do the exact opposite of everything Chris distorted and falsely accused Ron of?
Seriously, Chris, would any candidate promise to
- Raise 99 percent of all campaign money from voters in their election district?
- Never support new or increased taxes?
- Never support increased borrowing?
- Never support privately owned enterprises?
- Never support job retention, retraining or creation?
- Never support the environment?
- Never seek re-election if unemployment exceeds 9.9 percent?
- Never support Medicaid, Medicare or any other government-controlled health insurance?
I doubt it, because voters know to be wary of pandering candidates, like former President George Read My Lips Bush who couldn't keep one tax promise, so who'd believe a candidate with this many promises?
And, with limited funds and lots of unpopular campaign promises, how many votes could this candidate get?
I've disagreed with a couple of Ron's decisions, yet I've continued to respect and support him because he has consistently demonstrated that while his heart and soul are all western Wisconsin, his mind and eyes are on both western Wisconsin and our nation. That is why next November, I'll again be voting to return Ron Kind to the U.S. House of Representatives, as should every 3rd Congressional District voter.

Sowing the Seeds of Reform
In 2007, Ron Kind took on powerful and entrenched special interests in an effort to reform our farm and food policies to be more equitable for family farmers and for taxpayers.
