- Thursday, July 2, 2009The federal agency for Healthcare Research and Quality ranks Wisconsin number one in the nation for health care quality.
In addition, the coulee region serves as an efficient health care model for the entire United States.
Today Congressman Ron Kind, along with a group of local health care officials held a panel discussion to address health care reform.
During the discussion Kind assured something will be done and it was agreed by all panelists change needs to benefit all by making the entire population healthier.
"The president is right. We're at the crossroads. We can either continue what we've been doing in the past and going from bubble to bubble, having them burst and picking up the pieces and then figuring out why. Or we can lay the foundation for sustainable economic growth. That means health care reform, bring these costs down," said Kind.
Kind said some type of health care reform could be passed by the end of this month. He added it's a very realistic goal considering talk about change has been going on for years.
