Congressman Ron Kind wants to hear about health care problems in western Wisconsin.

The La Crosse Democrat is holding listening sessions this month, along with hospital administrators and doctors.
Kind is a member of the Ways and Means Subcommittee on Health, which oversees Medicare. The listening sessions come as President Barack Obama tries to drum up congressional support for a health care reform bill.

The first session is set to get under way in Richland Center on Aug. 18.

Other sessions are scheduled Aug. 20 in Tomah, Aug. 21 in Whitehall and Aug. 25 in Darlington. The Tomah session will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in City Hall.

The sessions will end on Aug. 25 with a public teleconference.
