Get out on the lakes and rivers because the fishing season is in full swing!
Growing up in western Wisconsin, I learned to fish in some of the best fishing holes the Midwest has to offer. Today, I enjoy those same beautiful lakes, rivers and streams with my two sons. I work to protect the rights of fishermen and to conserve the waters we all enjoy because it is as much a part of my life as it is of yours.

The House of Representatives recently passed the Upper Mississippi River Basin Protection Act, legislation I authored that calls for the development of a coordinated approach to reducing nutrient and sediment runoff in the Upper Mississippi River Basin. It also establishes a scientific water-quality monitoring system and a computer modeling program to analyze data.
